Productivity and Cost Analysis of Sawmills by Pandan Bandsaw YT36 and Vertical Bandsaw MJ328
Abstract
The success of a company is marked by the achievement of productivity. This study aimed to analyze the productivity and costs of sawmills with pandan bandsaw YT36 and vertical bandsaw MJ328. This research was initiated by identifying the working elements of sawing with pandan bandsaw YT36 and vertical bandsaw MJ328. The working time is 20 repetitions, this is based on the number of repetitions that must be examined on the volume of research work. This research shows that the productivity of the pandan bandsaw YT36 is 0.81 m3/hour and the productivity of the vertical bandsaw MJ328 is 0.83 m3/hour, respectively. The operating cost of the bandsaw YT36 is IDR 77,365.86/m3 and the operating cost of the vertical bandsaw MJ328 is IDR 75,995.89/m3, respectively. If idle time can be prevented, the average productivity of the pandan bandsaw YT36 and vertical bandsaw MJ328 increased by 2.59% and 4.29%, respectively.
